My boys

My boys are a whole year older. Evan is now seven and Andy is now 4.

Evanator...
Evan is a loving sensitive soul. He internalizes everything that is said to him and can have issues with self esteem. This has been an interesting year for Evan. He went through a rough time when he felt as though he had no friends and I was too busy with work and Andy. He made a few poor decisions which could have had very bad outcomes. But he seems to have turned a corner and his behavior is really improving. All he wants is to feel accepted and loved.
He lives and breathes Legos. He will do anything to get his hands on a new set. Then he opens it and builds it immediately. He amazes me with the speed that he can read and follow the directions. He goes to Lego club once a week at the library where he sits in a small room and plays Legos with other little boys.
Thanks to full days at school his video game obsession has really decreased. He loves to play when he gets a chance but it is not something he feels he has to do everyday.
Evan tried baseball and soccer this year. He seemed to enjoy both sports. His mind wanders during games, but at practice when he is focused and partcipates in drills he does a great job. He loves to go for bike rides and ride his scooter. He got a new scooter for his birthday and is already trying new tricks. Paving the driveway was a great thing. The kids can go ride whenever they want!
Evan is doing great in school. He is reading on a fifth grade level and spelling third grade words. He completes his math homework in less than a minute. He is doing well in his AT class and seems to be learning alot. They are doing an architecture study and he is learning about complex geometrical shapes, domes, bridges, arches, and are about to begin blue prints.
We (Gabi, Evan and I) are reading the Harry Potter series together. We are on the third book. The kids are really into the stories and the characters! Evan is even dressing up as the evil Voldemort for Halloween.
I am really proud of how far Evan has come in a year. I can't wait to see what his future holds.

My Andyman...
Andy has grown up so much over the last year. He is such a sweet boy. He is a born leader and truly believes he is in charge whereever he is. We are working on his bossy tone as he orders others around. He is transitioning from the baby of the family to the youngest son. Andy is still sneaking into my bed every night, but during the day he is trying to be a big boy. He got a DS for his birthday and this surely makes him a big kid. He is a little addicted at the moment so I have to keep it under lock and key. Andy can turn on my computer, open the internet, scroll down to the cartoon network address and start playing batman games.
He loves to read books. He usually brings us the same ones over and over though. His favorite books are Action Man, Go Dog Go, Blues Clues, Super Hero Squad Look and Find book, and his Little People books.
He is crazy for Batman. He wants to watch Batman "episodes'. Play batman on the computer. Got Batman Trios for his Bday. Is Batman for Halloween.
He got to try soccer for the first time. Its just an instructional league with no games. He loves it. Although he is a lot less aggressive than I thought he would be. He just kind of runs around with a grin on his face.
I love the big boy that Andy is becoming. He is so fun and makes me laugh each and every day.
