Baseball

Baseball started today!! All the kids were technically supposed to start today, but only Evan actually played. Andy's soccer game was cancelled due to the rain we got last night. And Gabi only had opening day ceremony which we skipped since it was the only day we would be able to watch a game as a family this season.

Evan played great for his first game of the year. He played short stop, second base and outfield. He fielded a couple of balls, but threw them past the first baseman. We will work on his aim. This year is Machine Pitch. The boys have a separate practice just in the batting cages with the machines each week. So far Evan has done really well in the cages. I think he was a little worried at the plate. He was scared he would not get a hit. They get five balls to hit or they are out. He fouled off a ball each of his first two at bats but did not put one in play. His last time up he got a nice hit back up the middle to second base.

We could really use a local grandparent! Next weeks schedule: Evan baseball Pictures: 7:45, Andy soccer pictures 7:50, Gabi softball pictures: 8:00. Andy soccer game: 8:30, Evan baseball game: 9:00, Gabi softball game: 9:00. All three at different fields. It will be interesting to see how we pull this off!
