Apple Picking

 The kids were off of school on a Thursday.  Chad had saved up lots of vacation time to go to Africa.  Since we won't be going this year he took off the day for apple picking.  Yeah!

I let the older two have a friend sleep over the night before.  When we asked if Gabi's friend could go with us the whole family decided to go. The girls decided to dress like farmers.  Pigtails and t-shirts and jeans? The other family has 5 kids and we had our 3 so we had quite the group between us. 

When we first arrived the skies opened up in a huge thunderstorm.  But it passed quickly.  And although the clouds were always there it did not rain on us again. 

We picked apples.

We picked berries.

Andy did not like this one!

. We checked out the animals

We shopped in the farm store for goodies.

And we ended the day with a picnic lunch by the pond.
