We are getting dangerously close to the one year mark. I am not ready. How does it always go by so fast? Andy was eleven months yesterday. He is still not quite walking. He now takes a few steps before he crawls. And if where he is going is close enough he will walk. But long distances he still thinks its faster to crawl. He is learning lots of signs. He does a few animal noises. He really likes to make monkey noises. We hear them coming from his crib whenever he wakes up. He can also do elephant (raises his arm) and he is working on quacking like a duck. He played tag with the kids the other night. He was chasing them around the circle in the basement. (They of course were lapping him) But whenever they would get close he would laugh so hard he would lose his breath. It was so fun to hear them all giggle together. Probably one of my all time favorite mommy moments.
On another note, Evan is having a hard time at school. Because of his October birthday he has to be in the 3 year old class. His best buddies are 4 and he really wants to be in their class. Yesterday at school he cried for 20 minutes because he wanted to be in the Giraffe class(4's) or just go home. It is hard because I am teaching right next door and I don't want him to be sad. But I want the teachers to handle it like they would have to if he was at any other school. Hopefully he will make more friends in his new class soon.
