The art show
The kids elementary school celebrated its fiftieth anniversary last weekend. They had a nice presentation with state politician, teachers and past students speaking and current students singing. Gabi sang with the second grade. The same night they held the students' art show. They keep all of the art work they do during the year in art class at the school. Then for the art show they display the art work all over the school. This is one of my favorite school activities. I love to see all the different types of art work and how creative the students can be. I missed taking a picture of Gabi's pottery. They made fish.

That art is AMAZING! My boys don't have an artistic bone in their body.
It's nice that your school has art. Chris' school doesn't have art or even gym!
I can't believe they don't have art or gym. Music? Our school is the smallest in the district and they just laid off our art, gym and music teachers. We have to share with other elem schools around the district from now on. And they are changing to a 6 day cycle of specials instead of 5 so they get their specials alot less often as well. Stinks, but apparently they cut $800.000.
