Our first weekend without basketball in 4 months! As much as I love my kids playing sports, it is nice to have a Saturday that is not predetermined by games once in awhile.
We started with nice Friday afternoon of playing outside on the trampoline. Then we headed over to GameStop to check out the trade in deal on our old Wii. I got an email that they were paying out an extra $50 for used Wii systems. Ours was three years old and getting buggy. It still worked fine most of the time but was picky with old games. Plus, Knox chewed through the cord to the remote sensor. The only replacement kind we could find was wireless. We had to charge the batteries for it every time the kids wanted to play. Highly annoying! So when I got there with our Wii I was told they would give us $110. We also had $60 trade in off old games. So I bought one of the new black Wii's with the built in Wii motion remote and Wii sports resort (AND A PLUG IN SENSOR BAR!!!) and I only paid $30!!!
We capped off the night with free Pizza hut pizzas! We ordered our pizzas online and Chad went to pick it up. Apparently in the mean time they ran out of crusts?!?!? So they told him it would be 30 minutes before they were ready but they would be free! Bonus.
Chad walked in the door with his parents right behind him. Oma and Opa were visiting for the weekend. And we enjoyed our cheap dinner and gaming!
Saturday morning started with a trip to Annamarie's. This is the breakfast place up the road that serves pancakes the size of pizzas! The kids know that Opa can't come to town without breakfast at Annamaries!

After a little shopping we came home to get the dogs and scooters and headed out to enjoy the day. We skipped lunch and instead introduced Oma and Opa to Kiwi yogurt for an afternoon snack. This new yogurt place is so fun. One wall is filled with different varieties of self serve frozen yogurt. After choosing your yogurt they have every imaginable to topping including lots of fresh fruit and berries to choose from. Then you weigh your bowl and pay by the ounce.
Then we went to a park along the Perkiomen Trail. This part of the trail follows the water for awhile. Its a neat place to walk. And the playground is fun too.
Unfortunately the paved trail was under construction about 1/2 mile into our walk and we had to take a dirt detour. So it wasn't a great day for scooters. But the we all had a great time on our walk!
The kids could throw rocks into the water all day. So fun. And the ducks even came to say Hi.

We came back home to the potato soup I had been cooking all day. YUM! Felt good after being out in the chilly breeze all afternoon. After dinner we played Band Hero. Oma and Opa even got in on the fun!
A couple more relaxing weekends and then baseball, softball and soccer start up.
