For an incredibly rainy day, we had a great 4th. We got up and made muffins. We went to see Ratatouille. Came home and relaxed and had yummy fajitas for dinner. Then we decided to brave the rain and go to our friends' party. They had a great setup for the 4th. They live on a street of row homes. So lots of close neighbors. Everybody was doing fireworks on the sidewalks. And they had a huge covered front porch about 6 feet above street level to watch it all, and be shielded from the rain. The rain let up for about 20 minutes right in time for the real fireworks. The park was about 5 blocks from their house. So we walked to the corner and watched a really long fireworks show. The kids had a blast. Even Andy seemed to enjoy them for awhile. We got home at 11 and put the kids to bed. The next day Andy got up at his usual 6:30 and took his 2 short naps. And then this is what happened at dinner...
