Our church planned a massive Easter Egg Hunt this year. There were 10,000 eggs, a petting zoo, 2 huge inflatable obstacle courses, crafts and face painting. For our family there were 2 problems with this plan. One, I had to work registration, so I couldn't help Daddy and the kids fight the crowds. Leading me to my second point. The plan seemed organized. We had 3 time slots to hunt eggs. We had 500 tickets with the times printed on them. And 500 cute little easter bags with prizes inside and a map of the festivities stapled to it. So, what went wrong? 750 kids showed up. Good for the church to have such a turn out. Crazy for me and my two coworkers trying to handle registration. And sad for the kids who didn't get many eggs, or the late comers who didn't get a prize bag. It was also unexpectedly cold. All of us mothers thought it was going to be sunny and in the 50's so the kids were all dressed in sweatshirts or light jackets. Unfortunately there was a really strong wind, making it feel much colder. Even with all that, my kids only got a total of 18 eggs, as we were getting in the car the kids were talking about how much fun they had. Daddy said Andy didn't like the animals very much. Which is strange because all he does at home is read animal books and make animal sounds and chase the dog.

Chris's spring break is the week after Easter. My parents want the boys and me to stay the entire week. For me it would be a perfect time to get together...let me know if it works for you.
Our spring break was this week. But we could do Thursday afternoon if you are free. Gabi gets out of school at 11:45. Would you want to do the Please touch me, or the aquarium (we haven't been since last time) or do you know of a park near your parents to meet and play?
