Kids Camp

We had our church's annual Kids Camp last week. We always have a great time. This year we were expecting a little over 1000 kids and we had 1029. Which is amazing because the weather did not cooperate. It was 98 on Wednesday, 99 on Thursday and 103 with a 117 heat index on Friday.
But we played plenty of water games to keep cool and went inside for worship, small group lesson time and at the end for stage games. I had kids who are going into 3rd grade. They were great. Not one compaint about the heat. They just had fun and were great to be around! I had 23 on my team each day.
This was me after my team played a game with an empty water bottle on my head that they had to fill with paper cups. They had a great time soaking me!

And on Friday we always have crazy hair day.

As always it was a favorite week for us!

So moving to hear 1000 kids raise their arms and sing "I believe" Those who are close to us might be able to pick Evan out. He is wearing his blue shirt and appears in the bottom right hand corner a few times.
