The update is there is no update. We are still waiting for a new referral. We are still number 1 on the waiting list. Our agency director and family coordinator just returned from a trip to DRC. They were able to see the children who are matched with families and take pictures and video and deliver care packages. They met with our lawyer and social worker. They were able to meet with the person in charge at the US embassy. Lots of good work behind the scenes. They also met with some American missionaries that have been living in DRC for some time to get a better feel for the culture. We are told "there are children in the pipeline". Remember that we will not receive a referral this time until all abandonment papers are medical files are in place. So the lawyer might be working on a case for us, we just won't know until the paperwork is complete.

Adoption Update
