The Farm

Evan and Andy's school had a field trip to the only working dairy farm in thr area today. Since it was election day Gabi was out of school so she got to go too. Since I am a teacher at the school and did not want to be a parent to 3 kids and a teacher to two classes, I asked Chad to take the day off from work and go with us.

We had a nice day. The kids watched the cows being milked and then practiced on a wooden cow with rubber udders. They walked through the cow barn and a separate barn with a few goats, a donkey, a horse and a couple sheep. They went thru a corn maze. Where we never did find the exit. With a bunch of preschoolers we eventually cheated and went back out the entrance. They went on a hayride and picked pumpkins. Then finally ended in the barn museum with a snack of animal crackers and/or fresh apples and cider.

The farm wasn't nearly as big as the ones I am usd to in Tennessee, but it is very pretty. The barns are as clean as a barn can be, and the grounds are nicely decorated.

Love the first picture. Gabi looks like there is something better to do, Evan looks like he is completely fine with taking a picture if you say so and Andy is in the middle screaming look how cute I am!!!

Glad you had a good time at the farm. Last year Chris went to the farm with his school. He came home reporting that he saw the baby goats sucking the mom's penis's.
