Andy had a few big days this week. Saturday night we went out to Sonic for $1 ice cream desserts. Andy ordered his first ice cream cone. He was excited at first, but would not lick it enough. It was melting everywhere so we hacked the ice cream off the top into a bowl and gave it back. He devoured the rest eating the entire cone!
Andy also got his first hair cut with the clippers. I was nervous to do this the first time myself so I took him to the barber. He was funny. He kept smiling big and saying "what I doing Mama?" "My hairs cut!" He is becoming a very sweaty boy. As the weather is turning warmer, he wakes up from nap drenched. I thought he needed a cooler cut. It will take some getting used to for me.
Andy is often busy doing his own thing when he should be listening to his teachers. He has a very hard time keeping his energy at bay. He is not sitting at circle, but he can sing all the songs they learn to me. He also is in the building 6 days a week and feels extremely at home. He thinks he should be able to move freely throughout the building instead of staying with his teachers. As a result of all this, his teacher can often be heard exclaiming "Andrew Douglas Wilson come here!"
The other night my friend called me. She has a daughter in Andy's class named Emma and an almost five year old named Mary. She told me they were in Marshall's and she was ready to leave. Mary was not listening to her. So Emma put her hands on her hips and yelled "Mary Douglas Wilson you come here!!!" Apparently adding Douglas Wilson to ones name is how you get them to listen!!
