Cross Country Day 17
We traveled from Gillette to Cody Wyoming. This was over 250 miles through the mountains so it was a long day. Along the way we had some fun though. Pops pointed out the snow atop the mountains in the distance early in the trip. About halfway to the mountains, we stopped and went to a lookout and took some pictures.
Here the kids found some neat rocks made from lava and iron. Continuing on we made it to the mountain tops. The big kids had a great time playing in the snow. Its funny to see them in their shorts and flip flops playing in the snow.
They even had a snowball fight. Gabi is developing quite an arm. She nailed Pops right in the back of the neck where the snow went down his shirt. Unfortunately Andy was still napping during the snow.

Then came the really fun part. Catching the marshmallows on fire and letting them burn off into the firepit. Eventually they were just tossing them in the firepit and watching them turn into "lava". Andy was not really into the fire or the roasting. "Bee Carepull!" was his phrase. He sat back at the picnic table sneaking all the ingredients. Especially the "choc-O-lits"
The kids read some books and went to bed. The adults crashed.
