Cross Country Day 18

Our first full day in Cody, Wyoming. We had ordered tickets for the rodeo at 8:00. When we called to find out about picking up the tickets we were told that because this week was the special National Stampede Rodeo it would be much more crowded and we should pick up out tickets ahead of time and be at the rodeo early.

So knowing it would be a late night, we decided to have a laid back day at the campground and make sure Andy took a good nap. The kids decided it was too cold to swim so they played on the playground. Then while Andy napped we ran to Walmart and picked up the tickets while in town.

We had a quick dinner at the RV and then headed into town for the rodeo. When we walked in they had a bull tied up that the kids could sit on for pictures. My city girl Gabi was scared she would get her jeans dirty if she sat on him, but I finally talked her into it. It was breast cancer awareness night at the rodeo so everyone was wearing pink. The slogan Man enough to wearpink was said a lot. The kids were a little restless because it was late but they had a great time. Andy loved anything that had horseys. During the bull riding I was asking Evan if he would want to try that. Andy says "No Mama. We ride the horseys. You have that horsey and that is My Horsey!" During the calf roping, Andy was cheering for the calf to make it the the other side of the arena safe into the pen. "Go baby Go, Go Baby Go!" Gabi loved the girls racing in the barrel races. Her favorite color is sea green, so she was cheering for the girl wearing that color. And her favorite won by far. She came in with 17.00. The next finisher was 17.41. Nanni was also happy because the rider from TN won the bronco riding. I really had a good time and would love to go back.
