Cross Country Day 2

The day started with Andy waking everyone up at 6:15. We ate breakfast and got our acts together and then the kids wanted to go back to the jumping pillow. While we played Nanni and Pops got the RV ready to go again. We were able to pull out at about 10:00. We stopped three times. Once for a break as we left Pennsylvania and went into West Virginia.

Then again for a fun picnic lunch at a nice rest area in Ohio.

Then again to fill up with fuel. Andy fell asleep right as we left this morning for a few minutes. At about 3 I took him back to the bed and laid down with him and he took a nice nap. We arrived at the KOA in Dayton Ohio at about 6:00.

Of course the kids wanted to swim. The pool was very nice the weather was not. It was cool and about to rain. They swam for about an hour and then we took showers in the bath house. Definitely the downer of the day for me. These showers opened individually to the outside so I was running back and forth between three showers getting soaked. But we got it done and came back to a wonderful dinner Nan had made. She precooked chicken and dumplings at home and froze it. So all she had to do was reheat and serve with peas. Yummy! The kids then started running around playing tag and made friends with some neighboring campers. The tag game was quickly ruined by rain. I took the kids up to the camp office for ice cream cones and we put in some laundry. Pops stayed with the laundry and I brought the kids back and put them to sleep. All 3 in the king size bed in the back. So now I will help Pops set up the pull out beds and move the kids so we can all call it a night.
