Cross Country Day 7
We started out the day with the plan to leave our home in St louis and move on. Packing up and getting on the road after several days in one spot took a little while. We got on the road at about 11:30. But the kids were great and the trip was easy and we only had to stop once. We made it to Lawrence Kansas at about 5:00. It was once again over 100 degrees and the kids just wanted to swim. We all took them up to the pool and had fun swimming and tossing a football around. And then Pops tossed Andy around some too. We went on an adventure looking for a place to eat a father's day dinner. The car that we are pulling can only hold 5 of us at a time so we have to make two trips any where we go. Nan and the kids and I went out searching, took one wrong turn, got back on track and then decided on a place once we found the town. We ended up trying a mongolian stir fry place. I dropped Nan and Gabi and went back for Pops with the boys in tow. We got our dinner, the kids found a taco bar and chose that, and the adults had an add your own ingredients stir fry. The atmosphere left something to be desired, but the food turned out pretty good. By the time I got the whole gang back in the RV the round trip was 3 hours. I think tomorrow we go to Nebraska.
