Cross Country Day 4
This day started at 5:00 am with torrential thunderstorms. The thunder and lightning was severe and the rain was pounding the RV. The storms lasted like this until about 8:30 and then passed by. Pops had to go out in inches of standing rain to unhook the RV and get us ready to go. We got on the road and traveled well making it to St Louis Missouri by 2:00. We passed right by the arch and took some pictures. Upon arrival it was 103 degrees outside and I took the kids to the pool. They quickly made friends with two boys who live here. Their family are full time RV'ers. The dad travels for work with the FAA and they follow him. Their stay here was for 4 months and they leave next week. The boys were 9 and 11 and great with our kids. They were patient and kind and taught them new tricks. They all played together for 4 hours. At one point they were lining up along the fence and deciding what to do as they all jumped in the pool together. For instance everyone do a cannonball or two do a cannonball and 2 do a pencil. Andy caught sight of them and joined right in. If they cannonballed he cannonballed. If they did a jack knife twist he did a jack knife twist. It was hilarious and amazing. We came home tired and I was a little crispy and Nanni had grilled chicken and rice ready for dinner. After dinner the kids were wiped out and I put them all to bed.
